The Merino (Bowmont) is a super fine fibre from our own sheep here on the foothills of the Dartmoor National Park. We have a small flock of Merinos which we keep for their amazing fleece, so fine that it is comfortable against even sensitive skin. Once clipped from the sheep, the fleece is sorted and sent to a local mill to be turned into gorgeous tops and yarns. 
 
These tops are new to our catalogue for 2020 and an exciting new offering suitable for spinning, felting and many other crafts. Due to its fine fibres this wool is great for felting and can be used alongside our felted items to create a wet felted fleece, for example.
